This mapping module is for CMS2000 and CMS for Windows only. It has been replaced by MapLink which links CMS7 to both MapInfo and ArcView (3x, 8x and 9x).
The mapping add on for CMS2000 (developed by exeGesIS SDM) is based around MapInfo and will enable a highly functional mapping system to be produced. Data can be transferred into a range of other systems/formats (ArcInfo, DXF or within a document). This means that data can be used alongside or combined with spatial data sets collected from other sources. Adding the CMS mapping module makes no changes to your underlying data. The mapping module provide the following features;
- Facility to pick site(s) you wish to work with from a map.
- Map will automatically zoom and centre on the location of the project. One or more objects (with individual labels) can be added for each project record.
- Allows one or more objects to be displayed on the map for each project, or each annual project report.
- Ability to select one or more map objects and see which projects they relate to.
- Range of standard MapInfo tools available from map and Gazetteer functions which allow you to automatically move to a specific co-ordinate, or existing map object.
- Comprehensive printing facility included.
