The development and management of CMS is undertaken on a day to day basis by the CMS Unit. The unit is a part of exeGesIS SDM Ltd and work is undertaken in close association with the CMS consortium management team.

David Mitchel - CMS Development Consultant
David heads up the CMS unit of exeGesIS where he leads on all aspects of the management, service delivery and development of CMS. Prior to joining exeGesIS, David worked for the Environment & Heritage Service in Northern Ireland, for 12 years, first of all as an assistant warden in a busy Country Park and then, for the last 8 years as the Data Manager, running a GIS system, biological recording (especially the development and use of Recorder 2002) and Northern Ireland’s input into the National Biodiversity Network. He was also involved in the establishment and implementation of the NI Strategy for Geographic Information.
David is a keen mycologist involved in the Fungus Conservation Forum and likes nothing better than disappearing into a wood armed with a collecting basket, notebook and GPS unit.
Outside of work, David is training two children to love hill walking and travel.

Carol Bateman - PACS/GIS Consultant
Carol is the lead contact for the Planning Application Control System, for MapInfo Training and MapInfo sales. Prior to joining exeGesIS, Carol undertook a HNC in computing, followed by a Certificate in Education (Adult Learning) and Assessor qualifications (D32 & D33). Currently an evening IT lecturer in the local college, tutoring on various IT courses including the European Computer Driving Licence. She has been working in the planning and environmental fields for the past 10 years and has seven years experience in using MapInfo Professional
Outside of work, her interests include, dog shows, general participation in dog working group activities such as swimming and carting, along with antiques, breeding rabbits, and playing badminton.
