MapLink for CMS replaces the CMS2000 Mapping Module. One of the significant improvements is that it now links CMSv7 to both MapInfo and ArcView (3x, 8x and 9x).
MapLink integrates GIS data with your management plan, allowing you to spatially plan and record where management work is happening. This also allows you to integrate work done as part of the management plan with other GIS datasets.
Features of MapLink
· Facility to pick site(s) you wish to work with from a map.
· Map will automatically zoom and centre on the location of the project. One or more objects (with individual labels) can be added for each project record.
· Allows you to map where the work actually happened eg which bit of fence line was put up in which year, where your monitoring transects are or where your information boards are.
· Ability to select one or more map objects in your GIS and see which projects they relate to with the ability to jump back into CMS for full details of those projects.
· Export filtered sets of projects to the map for the production of customised maps for reports.

Effective decision-making requires effective information management, and this information is increasingly held in digital formats. Digital images, documents, spreadsheets, databases and digital mapping applications, all inter-relating to inform day-to-day business processes. These digital assets must be readily accessible within the working environment, fully linked into desktop applications so that they are just a click away.
LibraryLink achieves this, providing seamless integration with existing exeGesIS SDM applications with ArcGIS and MapInfo GIS systems, or with any other data management or digital mapping systems.
From any mapped GIS feature, or database record, a single click will show all linked digital resources as thumbnails in the LibraryLink Viewer. Clicking a thumbnail will then open the original document in the appropriate application (e.g. a .doc file could open in Word).
Features of LibraryLink
- Quick viewing of linked digital files from any GIS/database application
- Ability to catalogue and view almost all digital file types
- Viewer and Editor licences give different users appropriate privileges
- Full multi-user viewing and editing over networks
- Can also run on a stand-alone PC
- Fully configurable data display, using CSS style sheets and setup options
- Flexible options to control the functionality of the cataloguing and editing environment
If you are purchasing LibraryLink, to be able to create links between CMS and an image or a document, you will need the LibraryLink Editor. The viewer cannot make these links, just view the documents or images that have been linked by someone with the Editor.
