LibraryLink can be supplied as a "Developer Kit" which allows integration into any application (database or GIS) that can issue a simple command with a Record ID and Type. This allows you to build LibraryLink into your own record-based applications. The LibraryLink catalogue data structure, and the functionality of the cataloguing/manipulation environment, can also be configured to meet your requirements. LibraryLink can then be used to link files to your application records.
How does this work?
LibraryLink can be initiated in two ways: Either by passing Record ID and Type values to an EXE file using a shell command or by referencing a DLL into your application and and calling a LibraryLink function with the Record ID and Type values.
