Exploring Kent’s Past was a project that aimed to help people become involved in, learn more about and enjoy Kent’s rich heritage.  The project, which was supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, began in August 2004 and ended in 2009.
 

exeGesIS was commissioned by The Highland Council to migrate their existing Historic Environment Record (HER) systems into our HBSMR application platform. With an area the size of a small country, a key part of this work was to publish the HER online, to make it more accessible to Highland residents and heritage professionals.

We developed the Marine Planning Portal web site as a way of publishing marine data and facilitating stakeholder engagement required for marine planning. Users were able to comment on the published data sets or on specific map features, allowing comments to be downloaded for further analysis and processing.

The Angling Diary helps keen anglers keep track of their season, while also providing data to the Scottish Fisheries Co-ordination Centre and Rivers Trusts. The data can be searched and analysed in various ways, with fully interactive mapping.
 

Revealing Cheshire’s Past aims to enhance community awareness of Cheshire’s past by increasing access to the information in the Cheshire Historic Environment Record (HER). The project includes community exhibitions, a series of thematic factsheets and a website developed by exeGesIS to present the HER.

Selected Heritage Inventory for Natural England (SHINE) is an on-line system for Entry and Higher Level Stewardship agri-environment schemes. SHINE manages consultations with Historic Environment Records (HERs) to deliver asset inventories and Farm Environment Plan HER Responses during the HLS application process.

Buckinghamshire County Archaeological Service commissioned the first HER website built with HBSMRWeb back in 2005. The site featured interactive mapping and used the HBSMR Themes module to create and publish educational content. The site was updated in 2010.
 

exeGesIS undertook an analysis of Greenspace and Public Open Space in Carmarthenshire for 21 major and 51 minor settlements to determine the percentage of the population in each settlement which passed set criteria. The results were reviewed by local authority staff via a website, allowing comments to be left and read by others.

This project involved the survey of several hundred kilometres of walking trails across London, provision of the results in a bespoke asset management system and publishing the results through a map-based, web interface. Using our 'Path Surveyor' application, the survey team captured data on 24,000 features with 15,000 images.

exeGesIS built the River Basin Management Planning System (RBPMS): an integrated MapInfo Professional and web-based mapping tool. This collated, analysed and presented data in order to simplify the consultation process that the EU Water Framework Directive required.
