Exegesis undertook a review of common cord-grass in Ireland. This covered its impacts on ecosystems, distribution and extent, and a review of control techniques.

We created a hedgerow map for the Gower based upon Ordnance Survey MasterMap and aerial photograph interpretation. The resulting dataset contained 22,370 features of which 17,013 were thought to be hedges.

This covered its impacts on designated features, effects on accretion and erosion, distribution and extent, and a review of control techniques. A protocol was developed to monitor S. anglica and help identify any negative impact.
This project involved the collation and evaluation of a suite of ecological datasets, the production of an indicative map of upland habitats, an investigation of upland field data collection options, and capturing all survey data to GIS.
The MESH project gathered large amounts of marine habitat data from a number of European partners. These were standardised to produce a unified seabed habitat map using the best data available for each area. We produced web mapping for this project using open source Mapserver software.
