Ancient Woodland Inventory AWI data captureexeGesIS produced an updated map of ancient woodland in Wales . Woodlands were mapped according to forest type determined from aerial photographs. The resulting dataset was more compatible with other rural land-use datasets, such as the agricultural Integrated Administration and Control System.

Stone Curlew Burhinus oedicnemusexeGesIS used a GIS model to predict the effects of disturbance from visual stimuli on nesting stone curlew Burhinus oedicnemus. This was used to map and graph the effects of different disturbances on the birds and identify the best areas to undertake habitat management to encourage nesting.
