Exegesis was contracted to redevelop GiGLs online data mapping portal. This involved a radical overhaul of both design and functionality.
Exegesis were contracted to create web mapping for iGiGL, the online data portal of the capital's environmental records centre. The finished mapping system reveals different data to different users. Further custom development work has allowed surveys designed by GiGL staff through the CMS to be submitted to an Indicia Warehouse.
exeGesIS undertook an analysis of Greenspace and Public Open Space in Carmarthenshire for 21 major and 51 minor settlements to determine the percentage of the population in each settlement which passed set criteria. The results were reviewed by local authority staff via a website, allowing comments to be left and read by others.
Over several years exeGesIS undertook a number of analyses of Greenspace provision, comparing the results against the standards in the CCW Greenspace Toolkit. Analysis was undertaken to determine the distance between each postcode and the nearest access point on the nearest Greenspace.
exeGesIS built comprehensive and consistent greenspace datasets. This dataset was used to assess whether greenspace targets were met. Network analysis techniques were employed to ensure the shortest walking distances from every postcode area, to the nearest greenspace could be identified and measured.
exeGesIS were commissioned to produce a digital map of Greenspace for East Lothian, Midlothian and Aberdeenshire County Councils. MasterMap data were classified to a standard land use classification using attributes and aerial photograph interpretation. These data were provided as a single Greenspace dataset.
