Katherine joined the Exegesis team in October 2025 as Junior Heritage ICT & GIS Consultant for our HBSMR software. 

Katherine previously worked as a researcher supporting interdisciplinary and international projects based at Lancaster University. She specialises in historical and geospatial data, and has contributed to the design and analysis of diverse historical datasets. She has created educational resources, taught digital research skills, and provided administrative support across a variety of roles. 

Katherine holds a BA in History and Politics (Lancaster University), an MLitt in Transnational, Global, and Spatial History (University of St Andrews), and a PhD in History (Lancaster University). Her PhD investigated Indigenous conceptions of space, place, and landscape and their changes in central Mexico between the pre- and early colonial periods. Her broader research employs Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Digital Humanities methods for the aggregation and analysis of disparate data. 

Away from her computer, Katherine can usually be found hiking, knitting, or reading.
