PACS Features

PACS is a windows based application written in Microsoft Access 2010, with a backend SQL Server database and a GIS link available to either MapInfo Professional or ESRI ArcGIS. (QGIS GIS link available in 2017)

The system can be used remotely with Microsoft Terminal Services or Citrix Mainframe. PACS will also work with other third party products for components such as document management systems, making it easy to integrate with existing corporate systems.

Mapping

PACS creates a two way, seamless link between the database and your GIS. This allows you to add and edit the location of all forms of planning sites, whether planning application, enforcement cases or searches. It supports MapInfo Professional and ESRI ArcGIS, and also incorporates free open-source mapping with more limited functionality.

  • PACS links seamlessly with MapInfo or ESRI GISMap sites, plans and constraints
  • Locate sites rapidly using a fully configurable gazetteer
  • Copy Ordnance Survey (OS) MasterMap polygons without the need to trace
  • Combine selected OS MasterMap and/or manually digitised polygons into a single polygon
  • Reshape existing OS MasterMap or manually digitised polygons - aren't these all standard GIS functionality?
  • Produce site and agenda maps at user defined scales utilising configurable templates
  • Address selection using OS Address Point data

Reporting

Building Control Module

  • Automatic generation of configurable standard letters such as acknowledgement, consultee & certificate of completion
  • Automatic generation of next building control Reg ID
  • Production of Statistical and Analysis reports including inspections overdue, No of inspections per month and Applications with fire inspections
  • System customisation - configuring of User defineable fields, the generation of additional reports and forms and modifying of Look-Up tables
  • Ability to record all fee types and payments, consultation, complete inspection process and housing stock statistics
