Claire leads on GIS consultancy at exeGesIS, and is also involved in developing the suite of MapInfo Extensions and Utilities.
Claire is a GIS specialist with over a decade of experience. Her qualifications include a BSc in Physical Geography and French from Keele University and a MSc in GIS from Nottingham University.
Claire started her career in GIS working for Derbyshire County Council as a GIS Project Officer, where she was the primary contact for Education and Social Services. Some tasks included: managing the NLPG data imports in SQL Server; using network analysis to determine efficient school delivery routes; using intervisibility analysis in Vertical Mapper to determine radio visibility between Council offices.

Claire's main hobbies are karate, reading and crafts but she spends much of her spare time on house renovation and decoration. She also enjoys walking and has recently taken up photography, focusing on landscapes and butterflies.
