Barn manages the infrastructure in our private and public cloud hosting environments.

Barn has more than 25 years’ experience in the IT industry including 9 years working in BT's datacentre operations. He has worked in a wide variety of organisations both the public and private sectors. Barn moved from a large financial technology company where he was responsible for running an infrastructure which handled £6M per day, while managing a team of 10 senior engineers.

Barn specialises in Microsoft and is a certified Microsoft Technology Associate. He has professional certifications in Microsoft Windows Server, Storage, Cloud, Virtualisation, Security and Networking. Barn also holds a Computing and Systems HNC.

Barn is very interested in security aspects of IT, has received commendations for incident and project management. He’s used to important projects and is a ‘hands-on’ senior engineer who enjoys getting stuck into technical problems and solutions.

Outside of work, Barn is a drummer in a party/rock band and loves music, especially reggae music. He enjoys the great outdoors, countryside and wildlife and can regularly be found up a mountain!
